Western School - Start your future todayIts about the daily life of high school kids in Phnom Penh Cambodia. The action takes place 2 hours before the opening of the doors to the students. Some kids are late, some use their precious time to enjoy activities such as apsara dance class or even football for the boys. like everywhere else some problems happens, but at the end everything will fall back to place. You can see in these film a mini love story, a football game were young khmers fight and make friends again, a cambodian Apsara dance class, a student lady teaching her friend how to play guitar , a beautiful chinese teacher in classroom. Produced by Kongchak Pictures, the producer of Jailbreak, (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5741304/fullcredits/?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm) the first feature film in the cambodian history to be co-produced by Netflix, these short video is a promotion video. 17 Triggers Super Tunsai - Little helperSuper tunsai is quiet a legend in cambodia, is a product present in the heart of all cambodians. The agency was 17 . briggers the mike rios founder, these agency was focus offering services to non profit organisation, and produced by 391 Films as executive producer. The script came from the brain of Visal sok, copy writer, film director as well, and the location for the shoot was choychranvar a wonderful area in a semi island in phnom penh. The traditional wooden houses giving direct access to the river, are wooden houses built by a couple of westerns ( 4 houses total ) offer in reality the westerns standards in terms of comfort. They actually did a wonderful real estate investment. The little talent was the daughter of a the cook in a “pho” soup restaurant. She was 6 years old, and it was not difficult to work with these litle girl, outside the fact than it was a lot of work for her.

ANZ Royal Bank - Life CircleThe film was the first tv commercial film i did shot in cambodia, it was a quiet unrealistic project with 6 locations in one day for the shooting. These 28 hours day ( we did wokred 28 hours in a row ) was enough therefore to produce these film pretty much as i imagined it. The script was written by visal sok, the client was ANZ, the music is very special too. I did ask Christophe Gerber to compose a special waltz here, i really admire his work as musician and music composer.

The music Video was shot in studio and in Momartre a touristic disctric of the french capital. The music was an international hymne for a lot of north african men and women.

Nicolas Sarkozy was that time, minister of interior, and a strong policy against youngs in poor suburbs leads singers to create songs like “brule” and inspire the young generation to vote, the goal was mainly to do whatever it cost to avoid to get Mister Sarkozy at the French Presidence, they fail on that point, but since the social tensions are still there, with the active social movement calle : les gilets jaunes.
